Wilkinson Sword sub contracted the Refurbishment of their Military Swords to Raymond Crisp in the early eighties which continued until the closure of its sword division in 2005. Crisp and Sons employed the remaining key staff from Wilkinson Sword including their blade etcher, leather worker and former general manager Malcolm Ordever one of the countries foremost
authorities on British Military Swords.
Renowned as masters of this craft, Crisp and Sons continues to this day holding Sword refurbishment contracts with the MoD, HM Household Division and the majority of the British Armed forces. We often receive swords that are over 100 years old, with some military swords having been passed down through three generations.
